Job SummaryThe Web Programmer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining web-based applications and systems that are secure, scalable, and user-friendly. The role focuses on translating functional requirements into high-quality code, ensuring system performance, data integrity, and seamless user experience across platforms. The Web Programmer works closely with UI/UX designers, system analysts, and backend developers to deliver reliable digital solutions aligned with business and client needs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Web Development & Maintenance
• Develop, enhance, and maintain web applications using modern programming languages and frameworks
• Write clean, efficient, secure, and well-documented code
• Implement responsive and mobile-friendly web interfaces
• Integrate front-end components with back-end systems and databases
System Quality & Performance
• Conduct unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of web applications
• Optimize website performance, load speed, and scalability
• Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility
• Apply security best practices to protect data and system integrity
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
• Collaborate with designers, QA testers, and project stakeholders
• Participate in code reviews and version control processes
• Support system enhancements, upgrades, and feature rollouts
• Keep up-to-date with emerging web technologies and development trends

Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Equivalent professional experience may be considered
Technical Skills
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Experience with web frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Vue, Angular, Laravel, or similar)
• Knowledge of server-side programming and APIs
• Experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent)
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Understanding of web security principles and best practices
